Grant Awards The Sewanee Professional Club received a grant to send two club representatives to the April 2004 ACS Undergraduate Environmental Research and Faculty Development Conference at Spelman College. During this 3-day excursion in Atlanta, the club representatives will interact with environmental professionals to observe firsthand the ways in which companies currently deal with environmental concepts. This grant was provided by the Associated Colleges of the South (ACS) Development and Engagement grant program. Furthermore, we look forward to meeting and engaging students from Morehouse and Spelman Colleges! We wish to exchange ideas and strategies, besides discussing environmental issues, so that we may all grow in knowledge and determination. We are excited about having a very rich and rewarding experience. The Professional Club would like to thank Mrs. Michelle Thompson (Sewanee's Assistant Dean of Students), Dr. Elizabeth MacNabb (Director of Environmental Programs for the ACS), and Dr. Linda Lankewicz (Sewanee's Provost) for being instrumental in this endeavor. This is truly an amazing opportunity for the Professional Club to grow and help fellow students in the future.
